Intrauterine insemination (IUI) also known as artificial insemination is an infertility treatment used to treat male infertility problems like poor sperm quality or low sperm count. Under this treatment, the specially prepared sperm is injected into the woman. The process of IUI is simple and takes just 5 to 10 minutes. It is also a painless procedure. This treatment is simple and cost effective that helps in fulfilling the dream of many. When sperm from the patient’s husband is used, the process is termed as artificial insemination with husband’s sperm (AIH). When sperm is obtained from an anonymous donor, the process is termed as therapeutic donor insemination (TDI).

Artificial insemination from the husband is recommended in the following cases

Problems with ovulation

Mild male infertility cases

Unexplained infertility
Aenean posuere sem imperdiet, viverra quam

There are four types of artificial insemination, they are
Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
Intracervical insemination (ICI)
Intratubal insemination (ITI)

Any one method is chosen based on the patient’s condition and then the process gets started. An important advantage of AI treatment is that it helps to solve infertility in both men and women
